Board Activities

Introduction to the Bangladesh Welfare Welfare Board and various welfare programs taken

 A Board called the Bangladesh Employee Welfare Board has been formed to integrate former Government Employee Welfare Directorate and former Board of Trustees (Welfare Fund and Joint Bima Fund) to achieve greater welfare of grassroots level, including the socio-economic security of all the officials and employees of the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. In accordance with the approval of the President of Bangladesh, a Board Act, 2004, dated 29-01-2004, received by Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad, Bangladesh Employee Welfare Board, has been published in the Bangladesh Gazette in an additional number of Registered DA1. Under the law, the former government employee welfare director and the former board of trustees (welfare fund and joint venture fund) have started the activities of Bangladesh Employee Welfare Board, namely Dhaka City and 8 divisions.

The Bangladesh Employee Welfare Board has 3 funds. The activities of fund 3 are described separately:

(A) Board fund:

(01) Stamp benefits: In the metropolitan and divisional areas of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet and District level, the staffing program is being organized in Rangamati for public office employees on time. For travel to the staff, the rate of rent was 20 paise per kilometer, and 40 paise per minibus for the buses. Under this program, there are currently 64 buses out of 90 buses and 26 buses rented from BRTC. In these buses, about 9,664 officers are being brought to the office on short hiring.

(2) Medical donation of complex and expensive diseases at home and abroad: Financial assistance of one and a half lakhs (one lakh rupees) is provided to the government officials, employees, in the treatment of complex and expensive diseases in their own country / abroad. Under the help of heart stroke, brain stroke, bypass surgery, heart disease, cancer, kidney dialysis, kidney transfusions, acne due to fatal accidents etc. This service is managed from the head office of the board. It is to be noted that no financial assistance is provided in the category of family members such as boys, girls, wives and dependents of complex and expensive diseases.

(03) Technical training for women: On February 12, 1969, the first Women Technical Training Center, Kam Community Center was started in Motijheel Government Residential Area in Dhaka. Its main purpose was to educate the employees of the government employees and their wives and girls in self-reliant and work-oriented education. Later, women's technical training centers were opened in Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal. In these centers, training is provided in Computer Basics, Graphics Design, Secretarial Science, Sewing, Block, Embroidery, Confectionary, Fashion Design, Beauty and Catering.

Under the head office, there is a large community center at Motijheel Women's Technical Training Center. In accordance with the application of that community center, the government is hired on various social events at fixed rate. There are also community centers in other divisional offices. The government fixed fares of community center at Motijheel Women's Technical Training Center are as follows:

Rent a bell: 15,000 / - (in government level) and at: 20,000 / - (in private level)

(04) Education Scholarship / Assistance: From a grants given by the Government to educate the children of government employees working in the 11-20 grade of the republic, once a year, from the grants given by the government to the maximum two students from 6th class to the highest level (master / engineering / medical) Education is provided for study. In order to encourage good results, education has been taken to give education to two categories. Those students who have passed an average of 80% and above, have been given maximum number of education and they have been given education assistance at an increased rate and they have received an average of 79% from the average of 50% to get education assistance.

(05) Burying / Antiquity Grant: When the official employee of the Republic dies while working, 01/07/2016 A.D. 30,000 / - from date, on 19/06/2013, from Rs. 25,000 / - and in the case of the death of family members, the amount of Rs. 5,000 / - for burial / funeral is given.

(06) Club / Community Center: Establishment of new club / community center in residential areas and financial assistance for repair / repair of the club / community center maintained by government officials employees to create opportunities for government employees to participate in various social activities including recreation and recreation of their children. Is done.

(07) Annual Sports Competition: Every year sports competitions are organized to improve the sports development of the government officials and their children and to increase mutual harmony and harmony. The head office of the Board is organized annually from January 21 to 31st anniversary of the annual sports competition in Dhaka city, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and their children.

(B) Welfare Fund:

01. Monthly wage allowance: For the benefit of the government and listed autonomous bodies, the disabled / deceased officer, employee or family of the employee, not exceeding 15 (fifteen) years or after the retirement of the employee, 10 years in advance, monthly up to a maximum of 1,000 rupees (one thousand) monthly welfare Allowance is provided. The applicants can withdraw money from these branches from different branches of the country's Sonali Bank.

0. Medical aid: Provision of maximum tax of Rs.20,000 / - per annum for a monthly salary of 4 months as a medical aid for the employees, families of the employees, and the family members of the government and listed autonomous bodies, once and for the employees of the deceased officer's staff. Assistance is provided to the employee's age up to 67 years.

03. Education: For the education of the children of the dead, disabled and retired officers of government and listed autonomous bodies, to educate the children of the well-educated children, from the welfare fund of the Board, once a year, for the study of higher education at the highest level (master / engineering / medical) Is provided. It is to be noted that the circular was published in the most popular national daily for giving education. The rate of scholarship is as follows:

(1) For the classes of 9th and 10th grade or equivalent, every month: 150 / -.

(2) Monthly for XI and XII or equivalent classes: 200 / -.

(3) Monthly for graduation or equivalent degree / cos: 250 / - per month.

(4) Post-graduate or equivalent degree / course and BSc in Engine & MBBS courses for each month: 300 / -.

04. Burial / Funeral Grants: In the case of the death of the deceased, disabled and retired officers of government and listed autonomous bodies, for the death of a member of the employee's own family and their dependents, a sum of Rs. 5,000 / - is provided for burial / funeral.

(C) One-time grant of joint life:

When a government employee dies while employed in government and listed autonomous bodies, his family is given a one-time grants of the maximum amount of the last 24 (twenty four) months of the employee for a maximum of one (one lakh) rupees.
